Bob's is a great bar-b-que spot. Nicely-landscaped outdoor setting with plenty of picnic tables. Often music on the weekends. Can be crowded, especially on good weather days on the weekends.Typical bar-b-que food: chicken, pulled pork, ribs, brisket, combos; salt potatoes, baked beans, etc. All very good, though chicken can sometimes be dry.Friendly service.

I'm a BBQ snob. Lived in Memphis for 2+ years, and have spent three or four years in Texas over the years too. Did I mention I LOVE BBQ? I've driven by Pig Vicious a few times in the last three or four months, it is a food truck, and I wasn't even sure it was open. Today, while visiting an old friend in the area, it came to be dinner time and I asked Harry if he liked BBQ. He also lived in Tx at one time (Rice U grad) and said sure. We headed to Pig Vicious, thinking well if the lights are on, it must be open. Well those light were on, we pulled in and started reading their menu & specials board. The lady in the truck was very chatty and helpful, I asked a few questions then chose ribs and brisket plate from the menu, with beans and slaw as my sides. Harry decided that was the best choice, so he picked the same beans and brisket, but with collard greens and macaroni salad. While the lady was prepping our meals we chatted more thru the window; she was assuring us that we were NOT going to be disappointed (call me skeptical!). As she started slicing the brisket, she handed two nice pieces thru the window to us "to get you started" .... While I won't go so far as to say it was orgasmic, it was DARN GOOD! Spectacularly Good, in fact. tender, juicy, and with perfect taste, just as sliced. This BBQ does not need any sauce. Our orders were plated up in the traditional foam containers, and at the end I asked for a 1/4 pound of pork just to see how good that was. Total bill, $40.00 with tax for two people. In chatting, I found that their smoker only burns black cherry wood. Oh MY, the ribs were marvelous; thick bark and perfectly tender moist ribs .... I couldn't be sure I tasted the cherry smoke, but the ribs also were just fine without any sauce. And, by the way, the sauce is a vinegar-spicy mix which is neither sweet or too hot, and not at all sticky, but it is Very Good too. My beans were great, the slaw was OK. Harry's Collard Greens were great, he wasn't too excited about the macaroni salad. My friend Harry could not finish his order, I'm stuffed after finishing mine three hours ago.
