Traditional patio style restaurant with high ceilings on the edge of town. Friendly staff, some quite extrovert, provide efficient and entertaining service. Food prepared over charcoal and wood is very good indeed and great value. Strongly recommend a visit.

On the three occassions that I visited, all weekday evenings, all in the winter, and all with groups of friends I found the welcome less than warm, dour might describe it well. This restaurant has a fearful reputation for steak, and it is pretty good... but not amazing, and certainly not worthy of the reverential way in which people talk about it in my opinion. The portions are huge, so perhaps this accounts for some of the hype. But, we all found the sheer quantity of meat on our plates just ridiculous. I'd be much happier to pay more for less and to pay more for better. Overall I have to say I haven't been wowed by anything apart from the traditional interior - which is great - country pursuits and bullfighting is the order of the day. Be warned the main dining room is also cold in winter despite an open fire, so if you go there when it's cold outside, wrap up warm.
Fly Monkeys is an open air place where you can enjoy drinks of the most lively evenings and try our rich gastronomic offer.
Wandered in here by chance and ended up trying the food from the Amelia Earhart vegetarian food cart. I recommend the coconut milk smoothies and the veggie burger. The lady working there was lovely too.Returned most nights throughout our trip for drinks and to try the Argentinian grill. Daughter loved running around the grass, lounging about on the beds and sofas and just relaxing and staring at the stars :) Super friendly owner too..I seriously loved this place <3

This restaurant is located in the country side far away from Tarifa in the small village of La Zarzuela. You can park your car in front of the house. When you read the name of this restaurant you will get irritated because the name is Bar - Asador.First we thought that we only would get a drink.Inside of this house in country stile with almost only wooden materials there is a fire-place that will warm up the room during the winter season.Of course there is not real winter. But in January the temperature was about + 15 C and it was very windy outside.Although the staff was unable to speak English we understood that fresh fish on a week day is not available.Although the wine list was not up to date.So we ordered deep frozen prawns (gambas) pil pil with a lot of garlic combined with a bottle of wine.At the end we got a free drink from the house.Credit cards are accepted. Here is my personal individual rating:Ambiance: 2-3 pointsPresentation/ Preparing/ taste of meals: 3 pointsValue for money: 3 points
