Had a walker Texas ranger burger that was one of the best I have ever had. It was in a cheese bus from the scents bakery with bacon, grilled onions, etc. Also had delicious garlic parmesan fried that were beer battered. A definite place to visit again

We really enjoyed this place. The service superb, the food superb. It is sort of like a diner, but better. Older type decor, but clean. Just not fancy. The food was good. I got the hamburger club, asked them to hold out the middle bread. They did and it still came out great with everything else in there. A huge thing of fries cooked great as well. Friends got the salad, soup, and half a sandwich. For $9.99 you won't get a better meal in Bishop. The only bummer was I got a cookie when at the counter to pay. I think it is a 2-pack of cookies for $1.75. And I love homemade cookies. But these were too sweet. I had to throw them away. Couldn't finish one. So if a supervisor or manager reads this... please cut back the sugar in the cookies sold at the counter. Cut the sugar in half at least.
California, United States Food Guide: 4 Pub food Must-Eat Restaurants & Street Food Stalls in Bishop
We just got this restaurant chain last month and I haven't been disappointed yet. The building is remodeled and clean and they food has been great. I love the chicken tortilla soup and the salsa bar (the creamy avocado is the best!). One bad thing is that the last three times we've been there they've been out of chicken tenders. The cashiers are mostly high schoolers with the older people doing the cooking. We haven't received bad service yet, everyone's been very helpful and enthusiastic. Hopefully they don't go downhill once the newness has worn off.
Where to eat Bar food in Bishop: The Best Restaurants and Bars
We have past this Casino on Route 395 many times on our drive to/from lake Tahoe, stopping once to take advantage of their low gas prices, but have never been inside before last week's trip. Got the gas, and decided to try lunch in the casino - which turned out to be an okay choice - well, first if you are in a hurry travelling and can't spend minimum 1/2 hour, this is not a good choice - well maybe coffee and pie [the have great pie! a special!] - nice staff, courteous but service is slow. Huge portions on all salads - I have an amazing Cobb, we also has Asian chicken...Cafe-style menu, They have a full bar too...the margarita was so 'chemical-tasting' I switched to a tequila sunrise. Overall, it was a relaxing 35-minute stop-over, pretty good food, and fairly cheap - $10 for the salad. $5 for a glass of Chard, $5 for sunrise - hard to beat and cheap gas prices usually...
