Food is great, with Great choices of tapas, friendly service, staff speak English, atmosphere is very convivial.....to avoid disappointment book your table on an evening at least one day before!.Andrea, is a great hostess and manages the team looking after guests....... Often live music is resonating around the old giant plane tree in the middle of the Praça.... Being accompanies by the hundreds of birds that gather in the tree!....

Beco Da Ribeira

We were two families with kids, having dinner. The menu has a wide selection of dishes for sharing. Mostly traditional portuguese food, with some "twists". All portions we've tried (8 to 10) were very tasty. One of the favorites was the sardines in hot tomato (even with the kids). The cost is perfectly fair for the size of the portions and quality. The white wine sangria we've tried is also recommended. The place and service are nice.

We were hot and tired when we discovered this nicely decorated restaurant bar tucked near the Monastery of Jesus. We immediately felt like walking in and having a drink. Then, the helpful young red haired manager showed us the lunch menu, with two options. We chose to eat there and food service atmosphere were above expectations. We had a tasty fish soup with garlic bread as entree, then we tried the fig pizza and the bacalhau. We were offered two extra plates for sharing. The all menu including dessert and drinks for 8 euros/pers. Then we asked for directions to Sesimbra and he helped us too. I really recommend places that are run by the owners, in this case a young Portuguese couple, rather than a large place with employees paid by the hour, and owners in their office counting dividends.
