It is located some 25 kilometers north east of Geneva's city centre, and since the 1970s it has become part of the Geneva metropolitan area. It lies on the shores of Lake Geneva and is the seat of the district of Nyon. The town has (as of December 2016) a population of 20,272. It is connected to the rest of Switzerland by way of the Route Suisse, the A1 Motorway and the railways of the Arc Lémanique.

This pub has a really fun atmosphere. Their is lots of sports always playing and their is a nice buzz inside.Staff are friendly and the beer is not overpriced. The food is not really made but more 'warmed up' but this wouldn't put me off coming back.I would highly recommend this place.

I was surprised with the quality of this place. Went to have dinner and I let the waitress decide for me as I don't understand French. I (she) ordered amazing magret de canard (duck breast) and it was delicious, also had a real good dessert. Many types of beers (also they have own beer). Good atmosphere and my waitress was really nice. For being in the center of Nyon its not an expensive place. Good view, next to the lake. Servers are ok, chill. Positive point are the drinks, they go heavy on alcohol. Comfort level.......... But you should no expect more from beach bar. As far as Nyon goes, its a laid back place and nice but do keep in mind its a beach bar and not one of those Monaco types. Cactus Jack is very well located, being just in front of Nyon's rail station. The first impression when entering the bar is a very friendly and welcoming atmosphere with wooden tables and a mixture of tex-mex / surf decoration.The hamburgers were very tasty and originals, including one with a "tomme vaudoise" (local creamy swiss cheese from the region).We also had some good drinks including a home made Mojito.Strongly recommended for the fun and the food!
