Reviews on Bar food in Lucerne, Canton of Lucerne, Switzerland. Lucerne is an ancient town with strikingly modern sensibilities. One of Europe’s oldest covered bridges serves as its centerpiece, and fresco-adorned historic houses line the streets, but it’s also home to the cutting-edge KKL, a concert hall and art gallery. Take the cableways up the Pilatus, Stanserhorn or Rigi mountains for breathtaking views, or see Lake Lucerne on a steamship cruise.

The menu in our restaurant is the perfect complement to the seasonal specialities from our on-site brewery: traditional dishes and sausage specialities made after recipes from Lucerne's master butchers. Home-made waffles and other sweet desserts round off
We enjoyed sandwiches and a beer inside at the bar, as seating outside was full. Most items on the menu are very expensive, but the pretzel sandwiches were more reasonable. I had the Lucerne cream cheese pretzel, which paired with a house lager from the brewery, hit the spot.

Shamrock Irish Pub offers great food, great beer and a great atmosphere in the heart of Luzern Altstadt.
Next pub was to be the Shamrock Irish Pub not too far from the Anfield, and the differences in size of crowd and atmosphere was very apparent. Two screens for the football here, not 21, with people eating food, others drinking and chatting, and a bit of a midday atmosphere building up. Takes an Irish pub to show you how it is done!!Could have went for the usual suspects you can get in an Irish bar, Guinness, Smithwicks, or even a Kilkenny, but wanted to try something different so I went for an ale called a Braufrisch from the Feldschlösschen brewery in Rheinfelden. It looked lovely in the glass, and went down better. Very good beer. Sat down, not at the small bar which was full but at a side table, and took in the scenery. Most people were looking at the football, but there were a few Americans across from me eating some grub. Have to say it looked pretty good, and they were happy for sure, fish and chips all round. Must get food in here the next time I am in Lucerne.Small, cozy, Irish bar with the usual style one expects from these kind of places, bar man was ok, pint was good, all is well and onto the next barâ¦.

Located in the old town on the banks of the river Reuss and overlooking the famous chapel bridge, Mr. Pickwick Pub offers a great selection of: beers on tap, great pub food, live sports and events.
What was wonderful about Mr. Pickwick was that, in the midst of all the high end stuff in old Lucerne there is an everyday pub, with good local drafts and decent pub food. It was a relief and a pleasure to be with sports buffs of all nationalities and to enjoy the pleasant service.Dear bahamareef Thank you so much for your 5***** review on TripAdvisor! In a few words you have summed up our Mr. Pickwick Pub very well and we do not need to add anything except we hope to see you again soon!

La Vie en rose - where life happens in Lucerne. Where you gladly meet with friends and business partners, where you feel comfortable and allow yourself to enjoy the world through pink glasses for a few minutes of indulgence.
Sat down close 3pm after a exploring Lucerne on a sunny and hot. Service was prompt, coming by multiple times with a cheerful attitude to see if we were ready. We got a couple of iced teas (interesting flavors available) and a piece of excellent chocolate mousse cake. Total cost was about 16CHF. It's a good place to relax overall.Thank you very much for your positive feedback. Kind regards your La vie en rose Team
