We stopped by to relax unwind while visiting the area. Our Motel recommended and it was in the older section of Inverness. Very nice well kept up area. We only went for a few dark beers. Huge selection of beer. Other tables near us doing the same but had food too and most of the items coming out of the kitchen smelled and looked good. Service was spot on and bartender made us feel welcome and like we were regulars! We sat at the bar and it was quiet and good experience. The only thing we wished was the beers were a bit cheaper. $6+ for each. If we were in the area we would stop by again as they were great!

We were seated quickly, service was average for a lazy afternoon. Ambience is nautical themed. Blackened Grouper Reuben was decent - do not expect sauerkraut in this sandwich, they put coleslaw in it instead. Do not bother with the conch fritters - there are great fritters out there - Stumpknocker conch fritters are average. The coconut chicken tenders salad was very good! All in all, Stumpknockers is average at best, there are a lot of other places in the area to try!

I came in for dessert with my boyfriend, sydella was our waitress and did an excellent job! She suggested the cookie skillet which was to die for! Anyone writing reviews about bad service she definitely suggest her. She had a large group and still did an awesome job!

No water, no silverware. We were given nothing for 10 minutes. Water upon arrival is an absolute MUST in Florida. We actually stopped a waitress and requested water and she took another 5 minutes to waddle over with 2 glasses of water. The restaurant opens at 11am. We arrived at 12 noon and the bathrooms smelled of urine, strong stale urine. The waitress finally reappeared only to push alcohol. She handed us sticky menus and pushed alcoholic beverages. We went to a restaurant for food and beverage in the middle of the day, definitely interested in water, iced tea, and food. Not a smelly bar. What is wrong with management at this restaurant. This Applebees fall far short of the quality that is expected from the brand.
