Been in the area for 10 years and decided to give it a try. Shouldâve gone sooner. Open year round. Non smoking. Clean. Wait staff very friendly and attentive. You have to be careful when ordering things other than a beer at some of the local places but not here. They make an excellent dirty martini. Bar atmosphere - nothing pretentious. Pizza, soups, sandwiches, burgers, prime rib - all very good. Good for family, friends casual dining. Will definitely return again and again.

Actually, I would have given it 5 stars, but they will not give me the recipe for the seasonings in their delicious turkey burgers. I've begged, asked, etc. I just want to be able to enjoy them when I'm at home. (I live 2 hours away and can't drive to the Dry Dock just to eat). I will continue to stop there when I'm in the area. The place is one of the most friendly bars I've ever visited. I'd recommend it... even if they won't part with the turkey burger recipe. Randy McDaniels, TLC.

We were in Meadville for my wife's high school reunion and needed a place for dinner and our B&B owner recommended the Chop House. We were not dissapointed! I had the salmon on cedar plank with salad and sweet potato fries. The salmon was delicious thick filet that arrived on a flaming cedar plank. It went perfectly with the glass of house pinot grigio. My wife had a beautiful thick pork chop flame broiled and encrusted with black pepper and a salad and grilled asparagus. The chop was very tender and she love the pepper. It added a real surprise flavor. There are very few places to dine out in Meadville and Canons Chop House was a pleasant surprise.

You won't believe the quality of the food at this place. You would think you were eating at a fine restaurant in a major / large city. The presentation, quality of the items and taste were simply excellent. I have eaten there very year for several years due the fact that I do business in Meadville one week each year. It's the place to eat for excellent food in Meadville, PA.
