The chef & owner (a former chef at Chathamâs Blue Plate restaurant), opened Magdalenaâs in Valatie, a Mexican restaurant, before opening the Chatham Grill in 2016. The Chatham Grill is a casual looking restaurant, but the food is a cut above. While there are Mexican options, like a burrito & quesadilla, on the lunch menu, they also have salads, sandwiches, burgers, meatloaf, grilled salmon, etc. My friend enjoyed the soup special, roasted corn & avocado gazpacho, plus a crab cake appetizer while I enjoyed my lunch special as well. If I lived closer, I think I'd come more often...

Enjoyed a rainy afternoon out on the deck with good cover overhead. We sampled several different flights of local brew . The wings were also quite good!! Server couldn't have been nicer. Made a rainy afternoon seem like a sunny day.

When my daughter and her fiancé asked to go to The People's Pub for dinner on a Saturday night, I knew it might be crowded, so I called to ask about a reservation. Having been there twice before I knew the place was small, but I was told they didn't accept reservations. We decided to go early to avoid a long wait. When we arrived, I was pleased to see no line, many open seats at the bar, and lots of empty tables. Nevertheless, we waited five minutes before the host came to the greeters station. When I asked for a table for four for dinner, I was told there would be a 15-minute wait. "But you have lots of empty tables. We still have to wait?" I protested.  âYes,â I was told, and he offered to put our names on a list, which he created on the spot. While we cooled our heels at the bar, I watched as he went to the back of the bar and made at least one phone call.  Also, during our wait many people came in, bypassed the greeters station and went to tables in the dining area. After about 20 minutes we finally got table. The food was good and the wait service was courteous and efficient, but my advice to customers who choose to patronize this restaurant is to expect to wait no matter when you go, unless, of course, you are among those who have a special relationship with the host that gives you priority seating. Apparently not all people are equal at The People's Pub.
Welcome to Destino Fiesta Mexicana! We are the new spot for yummy margaritas, happy vibes and thoughtful, market-style Mexican food.
They need to know what good Mexican food is... Even the Sangria was not very good! Geez.... The food was rather tasteless and not very authentic. I found nothing redeeming about this place... If you want good Mexican food - this is not the place todine.
