Gambrinus feels like the most authentic French place in Ales, in that it looks like what you imagine when you imagine a French cafe. It has lots of outdoor seating facing the river, which is perfect for people watching while relaxing over a glass of wine, coffee or beer.

c'est exact que l'on retrouve bien l ' ambiance américaine , les couleurs , la musique ,l 'ambiance , et que l'on sait que les propositions ne relèvent pas de la gastronomie , mais de la restauration rapideCe jour là le service était très attentionné , rien à voir avec d' autres expériences exprimées sur ce siteles burgers sont corrects , comme les frites , c' est à dire rien d' exceptionnel ,dans la moyenne ,à Alès pour manger de bonnes frites il faut aller à la friterie le ch'ti ;et finalement je suis beaucoup plus satisfait que lors de mon dernier repas dans un BIG FERNAND

Service was very good as was the food. We opted for burgers which were served with salad and chunky chips on the side. Delicious- but we couldn't finish them as the portions were extremely generous.

It is not only for the really good food here. It's also for the excellent customer service, nice environment, and the very polite people you will find in this place: staff and clients as well. This business is run by young entrepreneurs who know very well how to satisfy customer's need, always with a big smile on their face. Karaoke nights, every Friday, are hilarious!!! I am a foreigner, temporarily living near Alés, and all my English-speaking friends are in love with this place too. It's also a nice spot to meet local people and make new friends with whom you can practice your French. I truly recommend Le Before: Yes, here, you will feel like at home.
