First visit but definitely not the last. Food was superb and service was friendly and prompt and when we couldn't finish our food they packed it to take with us. I had madras which was thick spicy and fruity and peshwari naan which was superb. I'm a regular to villajoyosa so will be back at this restaurant soon

Visiting family in Villajoyosa and after a walk in the late afternoon it was time for dinner. Many choises along the beach area, but we stopped at a familier place for the family and I can understand why.Good place for the 4 kids ranging from 4-12, Nice service and great Indian food. It was just to pick from the menu and put it all on the table and take what you want.Enjoyed the time and who knows...maybe be back one day as the family got their appartment waiting.Thank you for your lovely review on The Maharaja Indian Restaurant.

12.50 for an excellent 3 course menu del dia sizzler. I had calarmari which was lovely and tender and very tastey. Highly recommended.

We went back here for a birthday dinner one Sunday, not having been since the notable interior refurbishment. On the positive side, the choice of set menus is reasonably priced, and the restaurant furniture and decor has improvedâafter a seeming change of hands. However, we *didn't* like it because:1. Average food, although the duck was a lot better than the coated chicken. Indifferent prawn crackers, no spicy sauce offered or condiments on the table.2. The menu does not detail or list ingredients, so sopa de marisco/fish soup came as a very creamy version. Tasty at the time but disastrous results on the digestion if you have lactose intolerance.3. Limited parking, south facing without shade and with the afternoon sun fiercely beating down on your vehicle. Beware the miserable neighbour from hell if you try to put a motorbike around the side in the shade. 4. The waitress had a peculiar habit of changing languages even though we (one Spanish, one non-Spanish) always speak Spanish. (While I'm cataloguing this, I'll also mention that she didn't know how to pour beer properly from a bottle into a glass.)In short, this is one restaurant that should close for lunch. Doubt we'll go back!
