This restaurant is right next to the Clemens Center, so it gets real busy on a show night and is pretty quiet otherwise. The fare is typical American Chinese, but prepared well and the service is fast and courteous. It would not be my top choice for a date, but if you have to eat somewhere, predictable and reliable and not entirely terrible.

The food was excellent and we really liked the interior which is tastefully decorated and quite comfortable. My wife and I had dinner there with another couple. I ordered a Japanese dish, my wife ordered Thai, and our friends ordered Chinese. We all ordered a soup or an appetizer......so there was no rush with our main courses. My dish came out first. As we sat there waiting the others urged me to eat, but I waited. About ten minutes later our friends Chinese food came out. They were hungry and dug in so I started picking at my food. My wife's Thai dish finally showed up a FULL THIRTY MINUTES after that. By then my friends were done and even with my pick, pick, picking at my food I was long done. We complained to the waitress (who seemed not the least concerned) and she mumbled something to the effect that they had three seperate ethnic cooks and they each cook at their own pace. So we were stuck sitting there watching my wife eat alone AND watching the clock because even though we showed up almost two hours before the show for which we had expensive tickets, we were afraid we might be late. As it was my wife felt self conscious so she ate a little and then asked for the rest to go. This is TOTALLY UNACCEPTABLE to me. Others may think this is a 5 star place, but this was our first and last dinner at Taste of Asia. BEWARE of this place unless you and your friends all plan to order similar dishes!!!!

I have eaten here twice and have been pleasantly surprised. The location is strange - a strip mall - so I wasn't holding out too much hope. However, the food was quite good and the place is immaculate. The prices are very reasonable and the bento boxes are a good value. They could improve the ambiance with some better music and decorations but all in all I would recommend!

Evergreen Chinese Restaurant is not what you would normally identify as a Restaurant. It's VERY SMALL with three or four tables where people normally call and pick up their orders. The food is fairly good but salty tasting. I once picked up shrimp and egg rolls to go and they were put in a paper bag. By the time I got the local park to sit and eat, the bag was soaking wet with grease. The location is close to the Elmira College and you can pull in off the street to park. The help is friendly and the prices are reasonable but their are other Chinese locations I would recommend before this one such as "Happy Family" which is further South on Main Street, just over the main street bridge.
