We ordered different dishes as take-out and enjoyed a great dinner at home. The chicken tandoori (masala), fish curry and lam biryani were very authentic and tasteful. Why 4 and not a 5? It's expensive. Especially considering its location. It's Texel, not a major metropolitan.

LvY Indonesia is an Indonesian Gastronomy restaurant that tells a delicious story. It starts from the beginning of Anneke's food journey from home and school in a restaurant setting based on how Anneke's memory and point of view of Indonesia. A home where
A downright sublime dining experience, delivered by a passionate, energetic chef whose understanding of not only the Indonesian quisine, but also flavors as a whole, made the seven course dinner one to remember for a long time to come. Her fresh and innovative takes on classic Indonesian dishes come not only packed full of flavor, but presented in a fresh, modern and most appealing manner. Her personal approach to dining, with the open kitchen and personal explanation of every dish and the inspiration behind it makes for a great and very personal dining experience. In the end, I can leave nothing but a glowing review, and a hearty recommendation. If you find yourself on Texel, this restaurant is a must for every foodie out there.

we visited this restaurant as a family, we were the first customers in, it is a typical buffet restaurant of The Netherlands, allegedly serving "world" food. the only thing that was non standard was a very sorry looking lasagna, so sorry looking that i did not try it, and some fish fingers. there was no food out when we arrived, but it was mostly all out within 15 minutes, and our time limit did not start until then (2 hours, normal in Holland).we tried several items from the buffet, all fairly standard stuff, nothing special, but nothing really wrong either.then tried the tepanyaki grill. had a piece of salmon, which was over cooked and tasted slightly off, and a beef steak, which i asked for medium, but was rare, and so tough, that i gave up trying to eat it and took it home for my dogs.i also tried a piece of lamb, also requested medium, also was very rare with a lot of fat on it. and prawns, which were not fully cooked. these were all prepared by someone i assume was a trainee, while the guy supervising was behind the shelves eating, and occasionally glancing at him.better luck was had with the wok, nice vegetables and prawns with a nice sauce, although my wife later chose the same sauce and it was unpleasant.desserts were standard at best. i found a black thing in a creme brulee type dish.if only my review ended there, sadly it does not.the service was, from the woman i assumed was the manager, quite dreadful. she had an angry expression during our visit, was never friendly or pleasant, and kept watching us like she expected us to make a run for it! not the right person for such a job.also, our waitress did not speak dutch, odd when you are a restaurant in The Netherlands, (and no English either) so we had difficulty communicating with her, however, in all fairness, she was very pleasant and smiled a lot.so, some nice food, some not nice food, a definite feeling of discomfort caused by the "manager", and dreadful service from her. and 30+euro per person for the privilege? no thank you.i understand it had a different name before, if they continue like this they will need to change the name again, to get away from the bad reputation.

They have an all you can eat menu as well as a-la-carte menu, we chose the latter and had the avocado and cucumber sushi, both could be avoided for sure. At first they made a mistake for serving us 4 pieces instead of 6, however later on rectified it and gave 2 egg sushiâs free of cost. Had the vegetables with chicken and we were told it will be a gravy dish but it wasnât, the taste was good however the gravy in the dish was like a semi dry one. All in all it was cooked well. However something we didnât like at all is the attitude of the staff. They were so different to the western crowd compared to us two Indians. It didnât feel right, however once the bill came and we left a tip of almost 20% of our bill they were smiling and were so happy. So itâs very sad to see such cultures and such attitude from anyone in the hospitality sector. That is the only reason I have given 3 stars and not 4. For the food I would give it 5.
