This is a centrally located restaurant that attracts locals and tourists alike, very popular and an enjoyable outdoor dining experience. The fresh grilled fish platter was really good, as was the pasta, nice local wine and desserts. The waiters were friendly and prices quite fair given the location. The only reason for not giving 5 stars is that the service was slow, even for a "slow food" establishment, although it was quite busy that evening.

My husband and I are staying in Vieste and were looking for a better dining experience than the tourist trattorias that are all over. But we also wanted authentic local cuisine. Ristorante Vesta was perfect. It is family owned and operated. The young man that greeted us (I believe he is the son of the owners) spoke very good English, at least enough to make us feel comfortable. His mother supervises the kitchen and his father is there, too. The menu is mainly local dishes, but done with flair. We started with the grilled sardines which were excellent. Then we had troccoli with chick peas, a pasta/soup that my husband said was very much like his grandmother used to make. For the main course my husband had the sea bass and I had the monkfish. Both were excellent. We had asked for a local wine recommendation and he suggested a rose' - not my usual choice but it went perfectly with the meal. The rose's of Puglia have more body than the usual ones from Provence so they go well with fish. We usually skip desert but we wanted to try it here even though we were full. We got a plate of almond cookies that were very good. They offered us a glass of lemoncello on the house. They sold us a bottle of the wine we had with dinner to take with us.All in all a great experience.

Dietro, suggerimento della titolare del villaggio dove soggiorno sono andato a prendere pizze e paposcie da asporto.Avevo telefonato e concordato il ritiro x le 20.15 sono arrivato in orario e mi hanno detto che c'era un ritardo di 5 minuti, attendo 5 minuti sono pronte le pizze , tempo 10 minuti sono a casa trovo pizze e paposcie fredde e bruciate.Mai piu

From the start the design chairs and lamps and the friendly service will win you over. Oh, yes: the pizza and the rest was delicious. We wanted to eat outside of the old city for a change and fortunately found this restaurant.
