We stopped off at this deli on the way to Yosemite as a mid way stop and at first were delighted by the scenic gardens. However, things steadily declined soon after. We went to order and were rushed through by the server who spoke so quickly that we couldn't quite understand what we were even ordering. The food looked great but unfortunately didn't taste as good as it looked. The proportions and flavours were all wrong and if I hadn't been hungry I wouldn't have ate it. To put it into perspective - my sandwich had about 15 layers of salami and only one layer of cheese which is ridiculous. Even if the flavours had been right you would think that someone who makes sandwiches for a living would know how much of each ingredient to put in a sandwich. One out of five of us enjoyed our meal and we enjoyed the outdoor seating area, hence the two stars, but overall it was a waste of time and money and we definitely won't be back.

We came here on a recommendation, but were disappointed. We arrived around 6:30pm on a weekend night. It looked like there was only one person working both the restaurant and the bar next door. She was going back and forth. There was a couple ahead of us waiting to be seated, and we must have waited at least 5 minutes before someone acknowledged us. She finally told us to pick a seat, which we did, and she got us a menu. She did not come back to us for a really long time. So long, that we actually got up and left to go eat somewhere else....the food might be great, but we will never know since the service was so bad. I would highly recommend this place hire more help.

This is a family owned and operated restaurant. They are a breakfast and lunch only menu. The food is always great no matter what you choose. It is a typical coffee shop atmosphere, the wait staff is friendly, quick and will gladly answer all questions. A nice place to breakfast or brunch on your way to Jackson or other points in the historical Gold Rush country.

Housed in a California state registered historic landmark (Calaveras County Courthouse and Leger Hotel), The Hotel Leger Restaurant & Saloon conveys the spirit of the Gold Rush days. Fine and casual dining available 6 days a week in our rustic stone-walle
Excellent food, atmosphere and service. Nestled in a quaint little town this gem of a find offers a quiet relaxing evening with superb food. Wednesday thru Sunday head down to the little park after dinner with your lawn chair and take in some great live music.
