We called ahead for our party of 12 and our table was ready when we got there. The kids were thrilled with the Mickey Mouse pancakes. All the adults were very happy with their food also. Everything seemed fairly fresh and the service was very quick considering we had lots of hungry children. We hear from our relatives that are regulars at this place the food is always very good.
See what the Colonel's cooking at your local KFC. Stop in today and enjoy our world famous chicken - it's Finger Lickin' Good!
Kentucky Fried Chicken, or KFC as it is currently known, is the same everywhere in the United States. It's consistently finger lickin' goodness is what makes it nationally if not internationally popular. The one difference in the Pocahontas KFC is that it has a buffet where so many other KFCs do not. The KFC buffet is a bargain costing less than $7 to eat oneself into a glutinous stupor on the best chicken to be had in American. One little problem, however. The sides on the buffet often outlive their usefulness and lose their appeal, The livers turn into gravel and the desserts become something more resembling a fruit leather. I realize it's a waste but to keep the food on the buffet fresh and appetizing it needs to be rotated. Furthermore, your extra-crispy recipe is out-consumed by the original recipe by a considerable margin and you have to ensure a plentiful supply of original recipe. I love it that some of your sides are items not to be found on your regular menu. Hominy, for example.I remember the days long ago when the Colonel also sold shrimp. Aren't you glad those days are past?
American family dining at its best, generous portions, breakfast served all day. and soup, salad, and rolls served with every dinner. also senior, and child menus available.
We had really low expectations when we sat down so we werenât too disappointed, hence the two star rating. The prime rib was dried up and thin cut (thank goodness they served au jus with it to rehydrate and warm up the meat. The vegetables were thawed out from frozen. Mash potatoes were moderately good and real but the gravy was barely warm and straight out of a jar from Walmart. The service was ok. Weâd consider going back, nah, weâd rather eat at McDonalds.
