African traditional restaurant in Paris.
We dined here after reading TripAdviser reviews and were not disappointed! The waitress was incredible and translated the whole menu into English for us (being from New Zealand our French is not so good!) as well as helping us learn some French words and phrases. The food was absolutely delicious. We definitely recommend taking the time to find this see gem. Thank you for your review, we are glad that you appreciate your dinner! Also to be your favorite french teacher, see you the next lesson!Good Bye Tom!#24zones

Offering a refined take on traditional Berber food, L'Atlantide produced a Sunday lunch for me that will actually go on to my list of top restaurant meals. It is not that the food was in any way over-the-top or spectacularly inventive. Rather, it is that the food was perfectly prepared and the flavors were perfectly balanced. I had couscous in the Ameqful style, fluffy and shot through with flavorful vegetables. I ordered the couscous with merguez sausages; the sausages were tasty and crisp and there was something really wonderful about the contrast between the places in which the sausages were charred on the grill and where they were not. These are relatively thin lamb sausages and they were neither heavy nor greasy. For dessert, the waiter enthusiastical recommended the pastilla au lait, a crispy pastry filled with dried fruit, and he suggested that it be served with thé à la menthe. Again, the contrast of the sweet pastry with the mint tea was simply wonderful. The restaurant itself is cozy and inviting and pleasantly dark. If you are headed to parc Buttes-Chaumont, the restaurant makes an elegant stop for lunch. Making a reservation is probably a good idesa.

BMK Paris Bamako is a canteen style restaurant that offers african dishes, revisited to fit the parisians taste. i particularly appreciated the fact that there were many vegetarian dishes available.compared to a traditional african restaurant service is much faster, prices are higher, and dishes don't have as much flavour. Overall great option for a nice lunch.Thank you for this comment Karen ! How can we improve to get the fifth star ? :-)

Found this restaurant via Trip Advsior while searching for places near our hotel (Gare de l'Est) where a veggie member of our group could get a good selection of dishes, and it didn't disappoint - the veggie or carnivores. The food was simply gorgeous and very plentiful. Wine was also excellent. Our food came quickly and piping hot. One of the waiters spoke English and spent a lot of time helping us with the menu as we weren't familiar with most of the dishes. It's a small and very relaxed place, and it offers unbeatable value for Paris. Food and drink for three came to only 59 euro. If you're in the mood for something other than French food while in Paris, this place is not to be missed.
