Had the deluxe pairings experience. Our sommelier Alex was fantastic and explained every characteristic of each wine and food pairing.Each wine was excellent, we were quite surprised by some of the wine origins even as avid wine drinkersVery reasonable price for an excellent experience compared to our usual evenings out in Leeds. Visited L'uva whilst on a weekend visit to York for my wifes birthday, friendly service throughout, great wine with many being imported specifically for the restaurant. Food is superb, the spaghetti with truffle & creamy cheese sauce is the best I've eaten since a visit to Rome back in 2015, & whilst not the cheapest place to eat the quality of the food certainly makes it worth the money for a special night out.Thank you for the fab review! This restaraunt was recommended to us by a local gentleman. What an amazing place, who would have thought I would have been sat outside in an attractive courtyard on a cool October evening enjoying some delicious food whilst sipping cocktails. On arrival we had a choice of inside or outside, outside heaters are lit and blankets are available if needed, we found the heaters kept you warm enough. The staff are friendly and served the very tasty food with a smile. The menu had lots of choice, for example, mussels, steak, risotto, burgers etc, and a good dessert menu. I would definitely go here again if we ever visit York again and I would recommend it to anyone looking for something special. Thank you for such a lovely review!
