If you come to Crete YOU MUST eat here. We found this place in a little alleyway and it was amazing. The food is well prepared, there is a beautiful ambiance about the place and they treated us like long lost friends. Honestly I cannot rave about this place enough. Price is also very very reasonable for exceptional quality. â¤ï¸â¤ï¸â¤ï¸Thank you very much for your kind review. We are so happy that you enjoyed your meal to our place. Last night my wife and I decided to stroll down Dimokratias Avenue on an "Anything Can Happen Friday" - a new Crete experience trend for our media outlets. And for the 100th time, we walked passed Manjar, only this time we sat down at a table by the entrance. So, here is the review from the inside looking out onto Heraklion at night. The short story is, this wine bar is always crowded for a reason. The cellar is that good, the location is perfect, the service top-notch, and as an added bonus, somebody in Heraklion knows how to select and cook a ribeye. Starters to the finishing desert, Manjar gets to be my new favorite hangout for a Nikos Gavalas or a Manousakis paired with amazing prosciutto and cheese, ripe and succlent figs, and a slab of beef Texas would be proud of.
