This is "Cuisine du Marché", Essentially French standards but prepared with an attention to detail that is really deceptive, it looks simple, but everything is freshly made by a chef who has worked in Michelin starred restaurants. Generally a choice of 3 starters, and 3 mains? and a limited choice of dessert (not their strong point)?You won't find better value for money than this.

Petit verre de vin blanc (toujours de bon conseil pour le choix) avec petite planche à partager charcuterie et fromage excellents . Câest un plaisir de se poser à lâetage Cosy un soir ... entre amis ou comme ce soir avec sa fille!!! Le patron est toujours aussi gentil souriant. Une très bonne adresse dâenghien!

I booked this in advance and really wanted to like it but I wish we had gone somewhere else. The two stars are for the onion soup starter, which was good. I then had the filet mignon de porc sauce aux noix which was â¬26 - the pork was as tough and dry as old leather and the sauce oversalted and tasteless. My partner's médaillons de boeuf sauce cognac at â¬36 was equally overpriced - really salty and no hint of cognac. We didn't get desserts as they were so expensive and we were not confident they'd be worth it. The place seemed to be full of tourists. I wouldn't return. The next evening we just went to the first brasserie that we found, Le Poncelet on Ave Wagram, and it was much better value for money: great lamb shank. Go there instead.
