Find out what Wine Bar restaurants to try in Derry. Derry (/ˈdɛri/), officially Londonderry (/ˈlʌndənˌdɛri/), is the second-largest city in Northern Ireland and the fourth-largest city on the island of Ireland. The name Derry is an anglicisation of the Old Irish name Daire (modern Irish: Doire) meaning "oak grove". In 1613, the city was granted a Royal Charter by King James I and gained the "London" prefix to reflect the funding of its construction by the London guilds. While the city is more usually known colloquially as Derry, Londonderry is also commonly used and remains the legal name.

Busy on Sunday, with a long queue. Affable staff doling out choice of ham, turkey or beef.My choice of ham was excellent and a decent range of vegetables, including cauliflower in white sauce, and sprouts was available, plus lots of sauces. Decent value @£10.95.Rather surprisingly, there seemed to be an honesty system, there being large numbers of tables occupied, then a queue to pay at the door on the way out, with no tab taken of what each individual had consumed.Must have an honest clientele.
