We returned to this hidden gem of a restaurant two years after our first visit wondering if it would measure up to our first experience. It didnât- it surpassed it! The ambience is beautiful, cozy and romantic. The owner/ server/ translator and music facilitator is engaging, welcoming and helpful with selecting food and wine( and translating the entire menu). And of course the food!! One course more delicious than the other. We had risotto served from a hollowed Romano cheese, followed by the wild boar pasta and the veal with peppercorns and fruit, accompanied by a delicious local wine. Sadly there was no room for desert but I am sure they too would be perfect. We ate at a Michelin star restaurant last night but opt to rerun to Enoteca Bengodi tonight for our last night in Tuscany. It is nothing short of wonderful.

We ate here the evening after the gran fondo strade bianche and were amazed at the treatment we received. A tuscan starter to kick off followed by two second dishes and then desert and coffee to finish off. Good meat and a great choice of wine are 2 of the reasons we will certainly return to this restaurant next year. The caramel cheesecake is maybe the reason i shall return with the family before next year. Thanks again to all the pleasant staff who served us. Thank you very much, Chris! We had lunch here while staying nearby and really enjoyed it. The food/wine was good/reasonably priced and the service excellent. The outside location was good as it was a hot day and we were very comfortable.
