We will be close Nov. 1 until Dec.5 ...no reason to compete with our towns annual fiesta and American Thanksgiving.. see you in Dec with new wines from Priorat. Little Ajijic has cheeses and wines you will not find anywhere else in Jalisco and an ambience
My husband and I frequent this establishment almost weekly! This is a place that you canât be bored with their offerings, as they are always changing. We began with a bottle of Veuve Clicquot Champagne (the month of July is 20% off of bottles of wine.) This week they featured the country of Spain. We ordered the beautifully presented cheese board which consisted of a very tasty chunk of Spanish Valdeón Blue Cheese, fresh figs and strawberries, cured olives, honey and a yummy baguette. We later enjoyed a full bodied bottle of red from the Rioja region. Service is always attentive and pleasant. These folks really want you to enjoy your visit here.Darryl and Gail, you two have been like family to Chez since we opened! Always supporting our special events, promoting us to other potential clients, just all around good people to know. We hope you never get tired of our offerings. We pledge to keep our menu fresh with new and interesting plates and wines .. again, THANK you for your review and your loyal patronage!

After our late evening arrival at the perfect La Nueva Posada in Ajijic, we walked over to La Bodega (maybe three minutes away). On arrival, we discovered the owner was hosting a party, and the place was filled with family, musicians, food and drink!Terrific inexpensive and varied menu. Highly Recommended.

Los Mejores Cortes de la Ribera de Chapala! VisÃtanos y disfruta una deliciosa comida o cena, con un excelente vino y el mejor servicio.
We have eaten at this restaurant 3 times and really liked the food, but last night was our last time there. In Mexico, it is illegal to charge the IVA tax of 18% on top of your meal, it is always included on the price on the menu. Yesterday, they added it on at the end of the bill which was another $64.88 pesos. Of course, this time we had a different waiter than the 2 times before. We didn't say anything, to not make a fuss, however, we will not be going back! BEWARE, when in Mexico, the tax is always added into the price on the menu.Mister Wiz:I would like to clarify this situation, because you are right with some things and WRONG whit others...First of all, you are right about being illegal charging IVA Tax on top of the prices listed. And the IVA is 16%, NOT 18%.What you probably don't know is that BY LAW we have to let you know how much tax you are paying And that is why you saw the SUBTOTAL + IVA which gave the total that you paid. The only problem here is that you never compared the prices on the menu to your ticket, if you had, you would have realized that there is NO EXTRA, but the system that we use splits it automatically, because, again, you have to tell your customer how much tax they paid.An example: if a dish costs $116 pesos on the menu, you would see this SUBTOTAL: $100.00IVA: 16.00TOTAL: $116.00So, you can be sure that there was no cheating on your check. Now, I would STRONGLY RECOMMEND that when ever you see something like these happening, PLEASE PLEASE LET THE MANAGER KNOW ABOUT IT!If you had, we would have gladly explained the case and you would have avoided having a "bad experience" and you would have saved us from have a 1 star rating for something that is wrong... :(We truly hope to have you back and have a chance to explain in case there is any doubt.Thank you and hope to see you soon!
