They are in a different place than when we last ate there. Summer rolls were good and warmed which is unusual. I had chicken pad Thai which was good, not great. Hubby had massman curry chicken which was not that great. We have very good Thai food in St. Paul so our standards are very high. The food was basic, nothing bad, just not noteworthy.

My wife and I just arrived in Kauai and while we walked thru the shopping center we stopped at Coconut Thai for a quick bite. This is a little free standing booth and several people were eating at tables scattered about...the food looked good. I had the Kauai shrimp and the wife had seafood saimen. Although the shrimp tasted fine, within an hour my stomach began to cramp up and bloat severely. Within four hours severe vomiting and diarrhea set in and lasted all night. In researching this it seems like a possibility of food poisoning! Great start to our Hawaiian vacation. I had always heard it took 24 hours for food poisoning to tear its ugly head, but research says 30 minutes to 8 hours. I cannot say unequivocally it was food poisoning...but most likely it was. BE CAREFUL.

Had a summer roll which was good but unusual. Then had ginger jumbo shrimp with a salad and brown rice. Tasty dish and plenty of it. Salad and rice were good as was my shrimp dish. You eat outside with the many chickens of Kauai.
