Precise: Mundane no flavour, weak tasteless sauces, absence of fresh vegetables, colourless, (apart from carved carrots! ) aweful background music, cold in restaurant - BRING BACK the MSG if that is going to give flavour! We selected this Thai style restaurant, as we like this type of food experienced with our visits to Far East. and the big splash they made about no MSG which indicated a mindset of care.On arrival on a Tuesday night the first thing to welcome us was the closed sign on the door (the owner/ manager hadn't bothered to turn it round and it was only a visitor who was not eating pointed it out and changed it himself that it got done - things didn't bode well!We entered an empty restaurant, it was only 6.30pm (although leaving after 7.30pm the position had not changed) The background music which i assume was of Thai origine was irritatingly boreing (We were not expecting the London Philamonic but reasionable Thai tunes) This should be entered in the Eurovision contest its a winner! The restaurant was coldThe waiter, whose I suspect was the owner, cook and everything else took our order promptly although he had lost his voice - a bit of a Basil Fawlty moment! We decided on The Prince and Princess Set menu, though it was very chicken orientated, variety was limited The starters were just okay, what it said on the tin I suppose, cant really complain hereThe main courses however were a selection of dishes, mainly chicken, swimming in tasteless liquid, a distinct lack of flavour, herbs spices and I strongly suspect a product of the micro-wave. No fresh vegetables other than the decorative carved carrots.Thats why I say bring back the MSG in this case! The rice was okay, but its hard to make a failure of rice! This was followef by the set sweet, which consisted of 5 canned lychees in a watery liquid - really is that typical of Thai? The Owner appears to have killed the golden goose (though has no intention of serving it! as the prices were high across the board both in food and drinkThe occassion was a big dissapointment, we will not return - was tempted to turn the closed sign back round on the door to save some other poor souls!

It is a popular place, so make sure you book in advance at weekends to avoid having to wait. The restaurant is well decorated and well maintained. We arrived at 8pm on Saturday night, it was busiest by 9pm. The staff were polite and welcoming, the menu is extensive and the food was wonderful. However, if you are going to drink white wine, make sure it is properly chilled or even better still, place the wine order when you book the table! Make sure you ask for a jug of iced water, otherwise youâll just be given two glasses of tepid tap water, no jug, in ice. Apart from that, we had a lovely evening and we will be back.

We aim to provide high quality takeaway food , we also able to cater for parties if bookings made earlier !!
I recently moved down to the Rugby area after 40 years of living in Liverpool. Liverpool knows how to do Chinese! So, weâve struggled these past months trying to find somewhere half decent. The Ruby express is the best Chinese I have encountered to date. Itâs not amazing. I would rate it as GOOD but certainly the best we have come across and we will order from here again. It was also bang on time.
