Terrible service, exceptionally rude staff, overpriced sushi One of many flaws: sitting at the bar, we had to repeat our orders several times because they were neglected, and ultimately half of them not fulfilled. Also, food (whatever we finally managed to get, LOL) quality is not worth the money spentWe are not coming back to that place

The parking is ok. The property is clean. Reception good. Noise level a bit high. Menu typical. The presentation of the dishes was just ok. No flare no imagination. The food itself was tasty and fresh. Wasabi was fresh, ginger moist and distinct. Definitely would return.

The freshest cuisine, excellent presentation, creative and while not trendy, it was a WOW! experience. We are foodies and also always looking for quality and taste. If you have that AND excellent, personable and experienced servers you will enjoy this sweet, cozy place in a tiny shopping center near the Lake. We have NEVER had better sashimi, even in very expensive sushi restaurants. And then price was unbelievable, less than half what others charge. Flown in fresh, always. So melt-in-your mouth delicious, bountiful and little touches, such as super-thin slices of lemon added to the delight. Their sushi rolls are original. Ours had crunch and savory, buttery fish and a zing inside. If it were a macro photo you'd want to enlarge a single piece and frame it. Perfect combination of nature meets creativity. The cauliflower soup was to rave for because it was comfort food and so sweet, with a crunch of tiny fried buds to make you smile. Ah, but the sautéed spinach was a yum-yum surprise with every bite, accompanied by a bed of light fresh creamy sauce to balance the acidity. I prefer hot sake but this place specializes in cold sake and you'll find the server very knowledgeable. All I can say is that I would drive an hour to eat here again and will tell everyone I know that this place, a hidden gem with a little fireplace to warm you on a cool Tahoe evening, to be on my go-to restaurant list. If this restaurant were in NY or SF or LA, there would be lines outside. Trust me, it's that good: Fredrick's Fusion Bistro rocks.
