Find out what Sushi restaurants to try in Iquitos. Make the port town of Iquitos your base camp for exploring the Peruvian Amazon basin. The river and rainforest are the main attractions, of course, and once in Iquitos it's easy to book a stay at one of numerous nearby jungle lodges. Closer to town, travelers recommend visiting the market and "floating village" of Belen, seeing colorful creatures at the butterfly farm and animal rescue center, and taking a cruise on the great river.

Excellent restaurant for the classic 'menu' lunch. Great options which change every day, food always fresh and service always quick and attentive. Great price too.

We visit Iquitos every year and this is our favourite restaurant.Chef Paz prepares a variety of local dishes and on or last visit had imported some Argentinian beef steaks.Very nice but we love his ceviches and chicherons which are up there among the best in Peru - and elsewhere for that matter. He does excellent lunch specials too at very reasonable prices.

OK Sushi and Grill serves both traditional sushi and cooked versions. I am not a raw sushi person, but the cevechita maki was absolutely delicious, with lightly breaded and fried chicken snuggled next to a piece of avocado, wrapped in something tasty and salty, then made into a rice roll and sliced. Each slice was topped with a bite or two of excellent ceviche, and as a final fillip, a thumbnail-sized sliver of fried sweet potato on top. The tastes combined beautifully, and the price was very reasonable. The restaurant is on the second floor of a small boutique hotel, overlooking the swimming pool on one side and the quiet street on the other. The atmosphere was quiet (unusual in Iquitos) and pleasant.Dear Linnea S, thank you so much for your review,
