Find out what Street Food restaurants to try in Padua. Known as Padova in Italian, Padua may be the oldest city in northern Italy, if you believe the claims of its 12th-century BC founding by Trojans. It certainly has history, including its famous university (one of Europe’s oldest, from 1222), the 13th-century Basilica di Sant'Antonio (resting place of St. Anthony), and Scrovegni Chapel, with Giotto’s famed 14th century frescos. The magnificent Prato della Valle, a 950,000-square-foot elliptical square, is thought to be Europe’s second-biggest.

Traditional street food in Padua's ancient square, Piazza della Frutta. Like us on fb "La Folperia
I am sooo glad we made it to La Folperia on this, our fifth visit to Padova. It feels like a well kept secret, this stall that appears late in the afternoon, serves fabulous octopus right next to a nice bar and then fades into the night when the food is finished. Well, once we had found it I made a commitment to visit every evening. Consistent, friendly and very tasty. We will be back!Dear Keke,We are really happy you enjoyed our famous Street Food and we are proud to read your wonderful words about our Service! We are waiting for you for your next visit!Best regards,Max & Barbara

We had some fantastic tramezzini - soft sandwiches stuffed with local delicacies - and drinks and fresh smoothies at a great little bar sitting outside in one of the most picturesque squares in Padua. The staff were really friendly and even served our dog some water first! Highly recommended!Thank you very much Roberta for spending time with us! Hope to see you again when you'll be in Padua.

I was staying in the nearby Ibis and this is the only option around, so I took a shot and it's amazing. The "Piadina Primavera" is a must try. Fresh ingredients, friendly service and excellent value.
