A less formal simple dinner with colleagues while travelling. We were looking for a place to relax and enjoy some straight forward food. The Happy Bull didn’t disappoint. We were joined by another colleague and although very busy the friendly and helpful staff were able to fit in one more. You do need to book. I’m not sure you can be certain of a table if you just drop in. Thankfully you can book via TripAdvisor. The food was very well done. The onion rings were great. We all went for a burger of some kind, and the options are extensive. They cater for all tastes with chicken and vegetarian options also available. The craft beer menu was good with a wide range of US beers to add to the Americana feel. Value for money was excellent too. Three of us were well fed with several beers for €35/head.

Decent chicken on the street. Good but nothing to rave about really. When we visited for lunch, the guys working the stall were swamped. It was impossible to tell where to order, where to pick up; not a single sign. When we finally managed to get close enough to ask one of the guys “where is the end of the queue”, he just threw his hands up in the air meaning he is clueless. We finally wrestled to the other end of the stall to order our food and managed to pick it up. We even found a spot at one of the picnic tables next to the stall. The spicy chicken was good but the drumsticks and wings were just ok. From the side of the stall I asked for some napkins and did not get a response. Then I was scolded for asking for napkins at such a busy time. One of the food price labels read “Tripadvisor famous chicken”.... Well, we certainly thought the fame was just hype. Overall, we had a very negative experience.
