Zum Kukuk is a nice historic restaurant, where you have a wide choise of schnitzel, perfect steaks and special local cheese dish. There is a great atmosphere in this historical timber-framed building and a very friendly service.

Finding an open restaurant in Blomberg on Monday evening was not easy. As it was a rather long way to walk we tried to check the menu on internet. But only found traces on facebook that we not are members of and never will be. But as the choice was between waiting for a seat in a foul-smelling Italian restaurant near the hotel or dinner in an ice-cream parlour we accepted the walk. (we went back to for ice-creams) and the walk made us even more hungry. With some help we found the Adria restaurant and were seated. After some waiting time we got a menu. The restaurant is rather small but didnât feel cramped and it is very clean. Friendly staff, good beer, hearty and well prepared food of large portions followed by a shot of Slivovits and a free shot of something sweet made it a good dinner experience.

1. Reserve at the weekend otherwise you may be disappointed. There are only a dozen tables for 4, one table for a pair, and one table for six. The tables of four were mainly occupied by one couple like us. A small restaurant. 2. You enter and are greeted by a very overwhemlingly friendly owner and his staff. 3. The best starters, steaks (perfect medium huft and a well done 500gr+ T-bone) and side orders we have ever had in a restaurant like this. 4. Yes, you may pay slightly above average prices, but this is not average food. 5. There are plenty of staff, so your table is only to be occupied for two hours - they need the turnover of customers to survive I think. 6. Parking is not a problem, loads of slots next to and around. 7. This is now going to be our regular place.
