Reviews on Steakhouse food in Parma, Province of Parma, Italy. Best known for its incredibly edible contributions to world gastronomy (especially parmigiano cheese and Parma ham), Parma has also been revered by opera lovers (who flock to its Teatro Regio) since the days of Verdi, who was born in nearby Roncole. Parma’s many historic sights include the 11th-century cathedral and its baptistry. Begun in the 12th century, it's considered one of medieval Europe’s most important buildings for its straddling of the Romanesque and Gothic architecture periods.

We were hungry for a change of pace from pasta and found this on TripAdvisor. It is about the meat, but chicken is also available. I had a mixed grill, which included 3 cuts, one of which was a chopped steak. All were excellent, charcoal grilled, juicy, and very flavorful. I would guess about 12 ounces of meat. It came with excellent grilled vegetables and some very interesting side salads. Not sure what they were, but they were great. My companions had the grilled chicken plate, and it was similar. We had a bit of difficulty getting a bottle of wine, but it did come and was very nicely priced. The whole meal was a relative bargain as well as being a nice change of pace from pasta.

Good burgers and beers but stay clear of anything fried. They have a nice selection of burgers with different meats (italian and foreign) and sizes. The also offer some locally brewed beers. The fried stuff though, especially the onion rings, proved to be extremely though to digest possibly due to overused or low quality oil.

We just bumped into this pizzeria after a long journey and an empty stomach. Despite being almost midnight, we were still greeted inside and given a table. The place was bustling with guests. They specialize in a different type of pizza called 'al trancio'. The base crust is very similar to a deep pan pizza slice but in an extra thick version (must be about 3 inches high). The toppings consist of thinly sliced cured meats and cheeses (parmaham, culatello, and so on). Unlike most of the traditional pizzas there is no tomato sauce topping. The verdict : absolutely deliciously gorgeous and baked to perfection. For a two portions of pizza and 4 small draught beers (very refreshing too), we paid 30 euro - which is quite reasonable. There's room for improvement where the service is concerned, a friendlier approach perhaps, and would have scored the 5th star from me.
