PERFECT, ELEGANT PRIVATE EVENT EXPERIENCE at affordable prices. This restaurant has the best reputation in the area for a reason. You can't find a person in town who doesn't love The Park's food, service, and location. The buffet was bountiful, expertly prepared, and drew rave reviews from all of our guests, (even the foodies among us were highly impressed). The setting (private wine cellar) was intimate, warm, accommodating, and lovely. The staff bent over backwards to please us and offered the most attentive, elegant service possible. We couldn't have had a better experience.

103 PRIME at Valentino's is an Modern Italian Steakhouse and Seafood restaurant located in the charming neighborhood of Park Ridge, NJ
This was our first time at this restaurant, and we joined another couple for a Saturday night dinner. The place is very inviting -- looks like a well-kept house on the outside and in but with valet parking. We were a bit early and our friends had not arrived yet so we very happy to get seated at our table. We were offered water, but surprisingly no waiter came to ask for a beverage order while we waited. (There were only maybe two other tables occupied in our dining room at this point, so this makes it really inexplicable.) I like that they leave a bottle of water on the table so that you don't have to flag someone down each time you need a refill. Once our friends arrived the server did come and get beverage orders. One of our friends really needs ice in his water, which was not automatically provided but was delivered upon request. Our server mentioned a cold seafood appetizer special that was generally good for two people, so we asked if it could be made for four people and I knew we were in for disappointment when the waiter mumbled "sure, they can throw a couple of extra shrimp on there." So when a big platter of ice arrived with four shrimp inserted into the ice and a measly lobster half plopped onto the ice mound with a few pieces of lump crab thrown on top, we all silently looked at each other and each ate a shrimp. No, just no. We asked for them to at least double the appetizer for the four of us. As soon as we could we flagged down the waiter and tried again. They brought another mound of ice with measly seafood on it and tried to sit it down on our crowded table when I interjected that they should put everything on the same platter, so they did.The seafood was good but not spectacular. Part of our collective disappointment was that we often go to the River Palm Terrace steakhouse and they offer a tremendously generous and succulent cold seafood appetizer that we all love. This one paled in comparison. The two guys shared a 48 oz. porterhouse for two, I had a filet mignon, and our other friend had the eggplant lasagna. Two of us also got their huge twice-baked "loaded" potato. The consensus was that the steaks were very good (but heavy on the salt) and the lasagna was more like an eggplant parmesan but good. The loaded twice-baked potatoes had lots of good cheese, a few chunks of bacon, sour cream, etc. and were out-of-this world salty. I would have eaten more of it had it not been tooth-achingly salty. Most of us got either the gelato or sorbets or both. My gelato/sorbet assortment was fine but really tasted to me as if it had been scooped from a grocery store carton. In general service was sort of attentive but there were a few times when we had to flag down somebody for more water or ice, nobody offered to get us a drink while we waited for the rest of our party, our waiter didn't "get" what we were asking for with the seafood appetizer, etc. I feel like this could be a really terrific place if perhaps there were more staff training and the kitchen showed more restraint with the salt shaker.
