The best place in the area.They offers a la carte menù or fixed price combinations. I had buffet as starter , tartare(marvellous meat!!!) and buffet as dessert. They offer a good choice at the buffets, great dessert! We had also house Red wine, not bad at all. 01.05.2018 - Restaurant Hippopotamus.On the way Geneva - Nice we stopped for lunch. One of us did order chicken wings and the other one half a chicken. We waited a long time and finally arrived the half chicken and hamburger. We said that we never ordered hamburger but waiting for chicken wings. Waitress said âsorryâ and went with hamburger to kitchen. We waited additional 30 min. but chicken wings was never served. We asked for the bill and saw that chicken wings was even not on the bill. The total cost on the bill was 32.80 â¬. We gave 53 ⬠and asked to get 20 ⬠back. The waitress could not understand why 20⬠back. She asked for help 2 other waitresses. They all (very young) could not understand either why we want 20⬠back. When we started be loud came their boss. She understood very quick, said âsorryâ to us and explained to the girls to give us a 20 ⬠back. Two girls went to the kassa. We followed after them and got to see that they still could not understand why we wanted 20⬠back... they stood there with calculator and dubble checked what will be 53⬠- 32.80 ⬠... We thought that we made it easy for them by giving 50⬠+ 3 euro in coins and asking for 20⬠back, but the girls totally confused. What kind of education give todays schools is a big question.

This is quick food, mainly steaks restaurants but some attempt has been made to provide other choices, albeit rather limited. I am not sure that one would go to this restaurant for their fish.Service is fast, friendly and efficient and I enjoyed my small entrecote. Wines were poor and beer expensive.If you are staying in one of the four local hotels, then this restaurant is a convenient and reasonable value (not cheap) choice.
