THE #1 RATED STEAKHOUSE IN ST. JOSEPH! Herb-Crusted Prime Rib (Friday & Saturday), Steak Diane, Sea Bass, hand-cut Ribeye, Filet Mignon, NY Strip, Salmon Amandine... the list goes on! And our Surf-n-Turf dinners (filet mignon with lobster tail!) are incre
Continuing our Summer weekly âfeeding frenzyâ 221 Main was chosen as a short drive along the Lake Michigan Coast from South Haven. Located in the middle of downtown St.Joseph, we conveniently parked in front and then started one of best dining experiences yet. After selecting from an extensive Bourbon and Scotch menu we ordered the following: a ribeye, the salmon piccata, Lake whitefish and the New York strip. All agreed that it was the best meal weâve experienced, properly prepared and expertly served. Special THANKS to the server (Jennifer) and the chef (Brandon) for a memorable meal (see picture). 221 Main is worth a return visit !!!

In the summer, this place is a great tourist attraction with a deck overlooking the lake but in the winter, we enjoy it even more. Inside is nicely decorated and dimly lit with a fireplace. Food is always excellent and if you get a fireside table, it's a bonus! They have the best burgers and fries with specials on weeknights. Excellent service also.

We were in the area looking for a good steakhouse meal and made the mistake of thinking Texas Corral would be comparable to a Texas Roadhouse. At first glance, there were definite similarities: same decor, throw your peanut shells on the floor, singing waiters, etc. We visited on a Sunday at 5:30 pm, and the place was practically empty. There were at least three dirty tables around us that werenât cleaned for over half an hour.We were seated and waited a good while before our waitress even came to the table to take drink orders. Our waitress took all the food orders at our table of 8 and forgot mine (did not apologize and just came to the table and looked at me). No drink refills were offered except one mixed drink that took probably 30 minutes to come out. I ordered prime rib, and it came out barely room temperature, was flavorless, and came with an undercooked baked potato I didnât order. Our waitress brought us our checks before we were even completely done eating, and then when we were ready to pay, she swapped the checks and charged them to the wrong cards. So both of our parties left there paying $150 with her promising the extra charges would drop off after midnight. Positive things: salad and mixed drink were good, pizzas ordered for kids came out quick and were hotTldr; If Texas Roadhouse had a cheap China knockoff, Texas Corral would be it. (Except it wasnât cheap.)Thank you for your feedback, and weâre very sorry about the experiences and frustration youâve had at our restaurant. We certainly strive to make everything run smoothly, but it seems like weâve missed the mark with you. Weâll be sure to share your review with staff in order to make the proper corrections. Thank you again for your feedback.
