The Lewnes family has been serving fine food at this location since 1921. We trust that your dining experience with us will be a memorable one!
To me, this is one great restaurant. Food, especially the filet mignon, was excellent and cooked perfectly. It is one of our favorite places to eat when we visit Annapolis. It is a bit small and a very small bar, doesn't have any restaurant parking other than street parking, which is at a premium, however, on a previous visit, they even moved my car for me when a space became available on the street. Service is excellent and I would recommend this highly.Bob, thank you for such a lovely review and the great support! Itâs wonderful to hear how much you enjoyed the experience, and the pleasure is very much ours! All the best,Sam and Mack Lewnes

Stoney River is an upscale steakhouse, specializing in hand-cut steaks and gourmet entrees, served in a sophisticated atmosphere by professional servers. Guests can enjoy diverse menu offerings such as Center-cut Filets, Bone-in Rib-eye's or a Classic NY
I suggest you read my last review as well because it has many details that remain true today. Yet, when a place actually improves in seven years it deserves an upgrade. And so many unusual and special taste treats. The Whiskey Shrimp on Country Toast appetizer is pretty much unique to Stoney River Steakhouse. Saute-flamed with whiskey and finished with a mustard cream sauce. Also for starters, we loved the crab cake in mustard sauce with fresh mango salsa. You don't think we'd leave Maryland without Crab, do you?Lobster bisque with sherry garnish is among the superior soups. Bone-in Rib-eye was much appreciated and again, for a unique main course, we were really pleased with the steak fillets in buttermilk biscuits. Carrot cake was a wonderful (and super-large) dessert. All good and will not wait seven years to go back.

Ruth's Chris Steak House specializes in serving aged USDA Prime steaks, broiled in a trademark 1800-degree oven and served on a plate heated to 500 degrees to ensure the steak stays "sizzling" hot. To experience fine dining at its best ⦠Just follow the s
A Steak House by nature is expensive with sides piled on, but Ruth's Chris Annapolis really does deliver quality, even at high prices.Unlike places that sell the sizzle but skimp on the steak, every piece of meat I've had at this restaurant (I am partial to the Rib-Eye offerings) is broiled to perfection. As to sides, the Lobster Mac and Cheese (three cheese combo) is simply the best I have ever had anywhere and my Lobster Mac and Cheese adventures cover a lot of territory at really good places. I also would not turn down the mushroom caps stuffed with crab (after all, this is Maryland, where the crab dishes can be awesome). Typical vegetable sides are excellent. The bar is full service and you are sure to be led to the wine or beverage that complements your meal. Service is warm and professional with great control over the table. Setting is rich woody steak house decor and YES I would go back.
