Looked forward to eating at Monte Carlo after watching it on Triple D & reading all their reviews. Found it to be even better than advertised. Steak was delish to say the least & service was kind of like ordering from your Mom as she recommended what we should order & how each cut was cooked best.

We were planning to celebrate our 40th Wedding Anniversary and found this place on Tripadvisor. The ratings were over the top so we decided to go. Nondescript exterior, the interior is clean and cool, great art and seats maybe 30. The FOOD is incredible the Salmon appetizer with spicy watermelon was a treat! My wife had House salad with Green Chili Ranch dressing,Mau Mau with a wonderful sauce and couscous.The fish was very fresh and cooked to perfection. I had the other special which was a Rack of Lamb, cooked just right with a sauce reduction that had a surprise ingredient of horse radish, it was unforgettable. Desert featured a Mexican Vanilla ice cream (house made) on a freshly fried churro cone with raisins that had been soaking in rum for 6 months. The hot cone melting the ice cream. Heaven. The service was excellent with even a couple of visits from the Chef. This is now our goto place for that special meal in Albuquerque, at least a couple of times a month.

Everything is, supposedly, bigger in Texas. And that goes for the portions served at Texas Roadhouse, even though this one's in New Mexico. Everything was tasty, and we took home plenty for future consumption.
