After a long workweek, we decided to do something different. This restaurant has been on our radar for sometime. So we followed our instincts. To our amazement, we found this little quaint restaurant that serves really authentic Mexican food. The atmosphere wasn't great but the waitstaff and food were fantastic. The atmosphere had a California telethon on television broadcast in Spanish and the colors of the walls and ornaments were traditional from Mexico. The specials on the board were written in Spanish so we needed the waitress to interpret. All of these dishes sounded delicious. We started our meal with several Mexican ground beef and chicken empandadas. Before serving our appetizers, our table was filled with green and bean sauce, and salsa with corn chips. We ordered the Molcajete, which is a combination of Mexican spicy pork and sausage, chicken and beef topped with cheese, peppers, and a variety of other treats. It was so much food that we ended up taken most of it home. The dish was terrific - seasoned and cooked exact. The Mexican sausage was a bit spicy but mixed with the other ingredients, everything was fine. My wife wanted to take home a few churros. The price for all of this food was less than a regular meal at a more distinguished restaurant. If you are looking for an inexpensive night out and your in the mood for real Mexican food, then you must come here. As a suggestion, get there early because the place gets packed with patrons.

I am not sure what took us so long!We live in Freehold and have eaten at just about every establishment downtown. The other night we stopped by A Little Bit of Cuba 2. The ambiance was very nice, friendly and relaxed, but it was the food that really was awesome. Every dish was carefully prepared, beautifully plated, and thoughtfully served. It is a BYO place with a liquor store directly across the street, couldn't be more convenient. All I can say is you won't be disappointed!

Small boutique restaurant. Number of Menu offerings was pretty good tho they offered two salads and didnât have the Caribbean salad (only an avocado salad). The empanadas appetizers that were 2 per order for $7 were large and hot and ok. The shrimp and garlic sauce was standard but the big portion of rice with beans was utterly tasteless. Not impressed enough to return.
