Our hotel in Palermo arranged for a driver for the four of us to visit Corleone and also made the arrangements for lunch. We were the only patrons in the place when we arrived which made me a little nervous. We were were warmly greeted and seated by the owner who ended up serving us as well. For the next 1.5 hours we had one of the best meals we had during our four day stay in Sicily. We stared with an antipasto of local meats, cheeses and tapenade (the best I ever had) and try as we did we could not finish it. I had the mixed meat (pork) plate and my wife the pasta alla Norma. Both were superb .The owner selected a local red wine for us and it did not disappoint. While a few locals popped in to say hello to the owner, we were still the only patrons, and between the owner and the woman chef who came out to check on our satisfaction level with her cooking, we were made to feel like "la familia".Grazieeee....per noi è stato un piacere conoscerVi e servirVi... Small place, seems to mostly sell fresh pasta and specialities out of the house.Owners are super frieldly. Dont speak a word english, but we managed to place an order anyway.Probably the best pasta and tomato sauce in town. :)
