We came here for dinner with a family of 4 two children aged 5 and 8. What a great experience. The waitresses were absolutely lovely and the food was amazing. My daughter had the filet mignon which had an incredible flavour. The adults tried the typical beef stew which was delicious. The starters were simple but very nice and they also served a very nice vegetable and meat soup which we enjoyed thoroughly.

We had vegetarian food made with organic ingredients
We were pleasantly surprised by this- we came for the view/experience since this place is right smack in the middle of Duque do Terciera garden, and the food exceeded our expectations.I had the Prato di Dia which was a vegetarian lasagna with lentils, and my husband had a lentil burger- both were great! They also had a good assortment of desserts in a case, and the apple tart and chocolate coconut cake were both great as well.

Here, it's possible to observe and taste the evolution of the Azorean gastronomy, culture throughout the centuries. All products produced in "Quinta do Martelo" are biologically grown and they are used on the dishes presented in the Restaurant "A Venda do
If you want the usual, standard restaurant...complete with the regular choices and décor...this isn't the place. The restaurant is above a replicated general store...which is interesting to view all by itself. And the restaurant is decorated with heirlooms and antiques...loved the atmosphere. The soups were incredible and the food was very good. We enjoyed the experience...although don't be in a rush...makes for a pleasant night.
