I always enjoy whatever I get at the cafe or the bistro. I especially like the lunch options. The food is fresh, healthy and there's always something interesting to choose from. There are some nice cocktails as well. I come a few times a year and it's always a good experience. Will be back for sure! I've also had the catering at work a few times and it's great and they always provide extra focaccia :)

I eat ramen whenever I can and am picky. I know good ramen from ramen great is nothing more than instant noodle trying to be disguised as ramen. The miso ramen was delicious. I didnât want it to end. The portion size was perfect with the exact combination of broth, noodle, vegetables, and of course pork. The steamed gyoza was also very good. I wouldnât say it was the best I had ever had but they were good. The staff was friendly and efficient. If you are looking for great Ramen in Chinatown this is the place to visit.

Once called "the most genteel tavern in America" by John Adams and the first unofficial "White House," Chef Walter Staib's City Tavern has boasted the finest celebrations since 1773. With over 230 years of hospitality, City Tavern has been the centerpiece
Visited the City Tavern on our last night in Philadelphia, Sunday 28th October. We tend to eat later than the usual American crowd so our sitting at 7:30pm saw the restaurant emptying out a little. Having said that, four tables of diners were seated together at once which seemed to unsettle our server Greg who appeared to be on his own; he had a very pleasant demeanour though and coped fairly well. The restaurant had the feeling of a converted town house rather than a tavern, with a series of very small dining rooms. It did feel rather quaint and Olde Worlde, which hit the mark in terms of the 18th century brief. The ambience was very good with the staff dressed in period costume and a harpist playing in the lobby. The harpist played for a good hour and a half while we were there (and I have no idea when he started playing!) and I was a bit concerned for his fingers, but it was beautiful. We started the meal with an 18th century Ale Sampler; 4 small glasses of ale attributed to Washington, Jefferson, Poor Richard and Hamilton. We had starters of corn battered oysters and asparagus & ham; not particularly 18th century fayre but nice and tasty all the same. For entrees we had turkey pot pie (which probably did hit the historical mark) and veal escalope. We decided to have a dessert of pecan pie and creme brûlée. The meal was tasty and reasonably priced too. And particularly so because we had picked up a flyer for the restaurant which gave two entrees for the price of one! A great deal saving $20-$40. We found the flyer at the Visitorsâ Centre across the road from the Liberty Bell Centre.
