Well, my title says it all. Vito fulfils all your expectations. The massive restaurant is located in an amazing context overlooking the North Gulf of Sardinia where Asinara island can be seen on a clear day. The great outdoors in the surroundings is amazing. But let's talk food here. The quality and the servings are above and beyond. Fresh food, mainly fish and shellfish, but you can also try the world famous Sardinian piglet bbqed in the old Sardinian style. Can't be described, you need to literally taste it. Vito bombards you with 10-15 appetizers ( only these are enough to make you feel stuffed), then you can try his peculiar first dishes and then freshly caught fish! I was there last Sunday for my brother's wedding lunch and reception. All the guests were amazed . After the lunch, the entertainment and the open bar topped it all. Highly recommended.

Found this place while literally driving past & noting it was busy one evening. The bar area overlooking the ocean is lovely enough, very trendy & 'cool', but enter the restaurant proper & be met with a jaw dropping settinmg in which toi have dinner - huge floor to ceiling sliding doors around all sides give vista's to the ocean whereupon you can gaze while eating the locally caught seafood.Service is typically Italian, i.e a tad on the slow side, but hey, when you watch the sun setting while having dinner, who cares ?! Sensibly priced for the portion size & well presented food - we went for seafood given the freshness of it - wonderful !

A stupendous dining experience. I chose to dine at Il Giamaranto because other fine Tripadvisor reviews said it was the best place to enjoy seafood. I was not disappointed. The last time I had such a fine seafood meal was a year earlier when I explored the Greek islands. I feasted on a starter of mussels and clams, the mussels were good, but the clams were the best I ever had. The main, suggested by the waiter, was a trio of seafood: Mullet plus shrimp plus squid. The mullet was fine, but the shrimp were outstandingly sweet while the squid had superb flavor.
