Small place but with the most amanzing typical Alentejo cousine.The food is just fantastic ! You should not miss it.Book in advance is highly recommended, especially on weekends.I believe is closed on Mondays.The last time I was there I had the âbacalhauâ it was divine !your words give us an incredible strength, yes we close Mondays. thank you

J.J.Videira Rua Nova 11, Marvao (really in Portagem) 7330-328, Portuga had excellent food for a reasonable price, good and friendly service, pride in ownership, down-home traditional Portuguese cooking. The charm for us was walking down from the Convent near the Castle, on an ancient road, through cork oak forest, and then finding this gem of a dining experience.

We wanted a simple lunch and this was perfect. I had the vegetable soup which . was perfect and a tostada with cheese and ham . Everything was tasty and fresh. My wife had a lovely salad with Buffalo mozzarella . Everything was tasty and the young fellow running the place was very knowledgeable and had very good English. It was nice to get away and have a simple lunch . It is very reasonably priced Thank you for the honest opinion. i am happy you felt so nice at my bar!
