This cafe is on the main street of Luang Prabang in the old town so the location is very convenient. The cafe looks nice from outside with a small terrace. The setting and design are cozy and pleasant. Drinks were good and staff were friendly.This is a nice place to drink and to relax.

We chanced into this noodle shop and was pleasantly surprised. We ordered the noodle soup with pork and egg and had it with rice cooker. I highly recommend to try this. Was very good and worth it, cost a total of about sgd5!

There are a few well known traditional Lao restaurants in Luang Prabang and although their menus may provide a larger selection of Lao choices (though Cafe Kaipen also has falang food, including breakfast), Cafe Kaipen is completely on par with these other restaurants in terms of quality of food served (at a price that is substantially more inexpensive).
