Me and my husband Jeff stayed here for a week, and overall, our experience was good. The rooms are basic but functional. The bed was nice and firm. Breakfast wasn't included in the price, but it was well worth paying for. It was a traditional Sri Lankan breakfast, and it was so filling, so we never had to eat lunch. There were some minor irritations, so I will list both the pros and cons of our stay.Pros - Friendly staff Awesome breakfastClean comfortable roomGood location ( with the exception of the busy road)Pretty good value for the money.Cons-Tuk- tuk drivers working there are very pressuring about taking an expensive ride with themPressure to take tours to the tea plantation and spice garden ( they sell generic products and try to pass them off as authentic). Our stay itself was pleasant, except we wish the drivers would learn to take a polite no for an answer in regards to taking tours. One of the drivers told us he wanted to go live in the US and that he wanted us to sponsor him. He was getting too close and personal, so that made us uncomfortable. Other than the drivers, we enjoyed our stay. The women on staff were lovely and always greeted us with a warm smile. I do recommend staying here, but beware of the tours.Thank you for reading! I can highly recommend this restaurant. We ate Chicken Kottu and it was the best we ate so far in Sri Lanka. The Owner is really friendly and the food is local, fresh and so tasty. If you are in Kandy you need to visit this place.

This is probably oldest and famous name in Kandy but horrible. Very poor service and average food. They are not clear what is available and whatâs not. If dish ordered by you is not available they will bring something else at their own. You have to very careful to recheck from them what they have understood from your order and what they are bringing. Itâs very important
