Ted's Cafe Escondido

Serving friend and family a delicious meal in your home is deeply embedded in Mexican culture. With that in mind, Ted Curtis, our founder, set out to create a welcoming restaurant inspired by that experience. We are rooted in serving the best Mexican food

I live in Tucson, where we have great Mexican and Southwestern restaurants in dozens of styles of regional Mexican cuisine. I would classify Ted’s as Tex-Mex or border style and, unfortunately, many places that serve this fare cut corners and disappoint. Ted’s does it perfectly. They obviously use quality ingredients and prepare the dishes skillfully. The portions are generous and the complementary chips and salsa should come with a warning: If you are used to chips from a bag and salsa from a jar, you will not be able to resist Ted’s homemade and risk filling up before you get your meal.Your review just made our day, Peter! Thank you so much for coming to give our restaurant a try and for taking a moment to leave this great review. We work hard to make all of our dishes from scratch and with bold, fresh flavor. Hopefully, you'll be in Oklahoma City again soon so you can try even more of what we have to offer. Our fresh chips, salsa, and tortillas will be waiting!Have a great day,Ted's Management

I stopped by here for lunch and had the Triple-Decker Club. I had it on regular sub bread so I didn't have the extra piece of bread. The reason I got it though was because it has turkey, ham, roast beef, bacon, provolone and cheddar along with all the normal lettuce, tomato,. mayo, honey mustard on it. It was quite good. Then I had their macaroni salad. It also was good. I like mine better, but well, that's one of those things.

Vito's Ristorante

Vito’s is a family style Italian restaurant that offers delectable traditional Italian dishes, features a wide assortment of Italian wines, and an atmosphere that you will surely enjoy.

I was here for a business trip and my coworker and I were in the mood for Italian food. We found Vito's after a quick "Google" search and took a Lyft to the restaurant. First impression was a little questionable as the front door access seemed a little odd. When we walked in, we saw the restaurant had quite a few patrons and the dishes were abundant and colorful. The woman who greeted us was so friendly and accommodating, that we felt like old friends. The food we selected came from an abundant menu with plenty of options to choose from. I had the chicken Marsala, with broccoli and pasta with the house red sauce, and my coworker had a shrimp and pasta dish. Both were very good. Wine selection is decent albeit a little pricey but we still chose to have a glass each. We understand the location will soon change to across the street, likely to provide more seating for this very popular restaurant. If you want to find a nice family style restaurant away from the Brickyard, make your way to Vito's. You won't be disappointed.
