Our group of 6 went in for a fun time at a new restaurant. The menu up on a chalk board was very confusing. (See below) I ordered a Reuben which sounded great. According to the chalk board it had sauerkraut, peppercini 1000 island dressing. I understood it to mean the peppers would be on the side not in the sauce. When I got it, the sandwich looked beautiful -it took up the whole plate - It was swimming with filling and lots of melted cheese on top.but it was spicy. I can't eat spicy! When I went up to complain - the owner came over and proceeded to tell me how great it was the way it was - and everyone loves it that way. He instructed me that is was not spicy. ..Well unfortunately - IT WAS spicy to me.. He graciously brought me a green sauce with pepper in it. Explaining that that was his best sauce and to just eat the meat with it! As he could see I wasn't happy. He offered to bring out a new sandwich . Which he did promptly, but is was much smaller bread with less filling and hardly any cheese and a free cup of tomato basil soup (which was gracious of him). The corned beef brisket was nice - big chunks and the sauerkraut was delicious. The sauce was even good. We all agreed his attitude needs a bit adjusting as none of wanted to hear how great his combinations of food are nor the story about some lady friend who made his sauce recipe, nor his past restaurant experience. Yes the bread tasted homemade, the outside was nicely crusted but the inside was mushy.. We did not try the "famous" brownie but as a foodie I thought his chocolate chip cookie had no butter flavor and the dough had no flavor.Would I go back - yes but I have learned my lesson. Don't complain or you get less food! And don't talk to the owner...

Jason's Deli

This place is OK if you have not evolved enough to make use of your taste buds yet. I have tried 3 different sandwiches/rolls. Eating the veggie roll makes one feel like chewing on cardboard. Salmon is a little better but how bland can food really be? My office admin loves this food and tries to cater from this chain whenever possible. I know most of the people eat the stuff because it's free but given a choice at least half of them would pass this place if they were paying it out of their own pockets. I used to think that British and Scandinavians have the blandest food but Jason's Deli is trying it's best to bring US towards the top of this list.
