Lure is a beautifully decorated restaurant on the banks of the Ohio River behind the Hampton Inn. It is light and airy and there are beautiful light fixtures and crystal balls that float above the tables in a high vaulted ceiling. I can imagine this beautiful restaurant on the water in some place like NYC. However, the menu prices would be doubled!! Unfortunately, I only had time for lunch because I would love to have dinner here. The breakfast/lunch menu is full of interesting choices and I chose a vegetarian omelet that was full of large leaves of spinach and salty feta cheese. It was delicious and accompanied by fresh fruit and little rounds of hash browns. The food was excellent and so was the service. I really need to go back to Owensboro because I want an evening meal so I can see this restaurant come to life with all of the beautiful lights. It is the kind of restaurant where you can celebrate a life event or just enjoy the simple pleasures of seafood, a thousand miles from the sea.

I am a regular at Nikos because I think itâs the best restaurant in Owensboro. Such fun atmosphere and always great food. Lola and sons always make you feel welcome. Wish they had smaller meals in the evening for us older folks. My only complaint is the drink pricing...pretty pricey compared to other restaurants in town. But, itâs a great food place. Always send visitors there and theyâve always been happy.
One of my favorite "quick meal" places, when in Owensboro ! It is a very well decorated "seafood" eatery. They have a good volume of local regulars, eating here, and the service is fast & fresh prepped. Today I tried their new CIABATTA JACKS fish sandwich. It was good; a very appropriate tasty bun, with the traditional fish, & "Jack Cheese." It's next to McD's, just off of the "main drag," FREDERICKA Street. Be careful, while eating, the music makes one want to get up & dance !!
