I had prior good experience at Big Mike's with ordering steamed crabs, so though we'd try their crab cakes. The crab cakes were at or above market price compared to other local restaurants and were mediocre at best. No back fin lump meat could be found, more of a blend of other small shreds of crab, lots of filler, and lacked the distinctive sweet lusciousness of authentic Chesapeake Bay lump back fin. I've been reading that many restaurants are using crab meat from overseas, or Louisiana, definitely not Chesapeake Bay Blue crabs. Flavor was ok, not great. The platter does come with 2 sides which is good. The coleslaw was very nice.

The food was delicious , we had the coconut shrimp dinner ! Yummy ! And the salad and baked potato and the biscuits were all delicious ! The restaurant was very busy so we had to wait for a booth but it was well worth the wait ! The staff was very friendly !

I've been coming here for years on and off. We decided to go with a couple of friends on a Wednesday night and try their burger special. Once we all looked at the menu, 2 of us got the burger, and 2 of us got the all you can eat chicken and fries. My burger was good and the fries were delicious. My husband got the all you can eat chicken and fries. They never brought him more fries, and when she asked if he wanted more chicken, she returned with the same basket and two pieces saying they were left over from before (and no fries). What? Any time we've been to an all you can eat, they always give you a fresh basket/plate or whatever it may be with another FULL serving. Service was slow, but she was friendly. Like I said, I've been coming here for years on and off, and this won't stop me from going back. I'm going to take it as an 'off' night.
