Find out what Seafood restaurants to try in Dungarvan. Dungarvan (Irish: Dún Garbhán, meaning "Garbhann's Fort") is a coastal town and harbour in County Waterford, on the south coast of Ireland. Prior to the merger of Waterford County Council with Waterford City Council in 2014, Dungarvan was the county town and administrative centre of County Waterford. Waterford City and County Council retains administrative offices in the town. The town's Irish name means "Garbhann's fort", referring to Saint Garbhann who founded a church there in the seventh century. The town lies on the N25 road (European route E30), which connects Cork, Waterford and Rosslare Europort.

Am now a regular visitor to this establishment. Staff are friendly, efficient and pleasant to deal with. Food is always very good. Especially love the lemon sole. Childrenâs portions are very good. Seafood chowder was delicious as were the prawns. Good wine list though a tad expensive for organic wines but of a good quality. Highly recommend to one and all but do remember to book in high season and at weekends as itâs a very popular pub and restaurant.

We were booked in for a tasting dinner as part of the West Waterford food festival. However, with one of the party having digestive problems and my dairy intolerance it became apparent that the tasting menu was out. Rather than cancel, we asked if adjustments could be made. Danny the manager was so helpful-as was Roisin the chef. They came up with good options for both of us while our friend could partake of the 6 course tasting menu. Michael from the Wine Buff off-licence talked us through the wines and the communal tables allowed people to mingle which made it all very sociable. Thanks to all the staff-including Norah our waitress-all of whom went out of their way to make it a great night for everyone. Would highly recommend!Hi Bernie Thank you for the great review we are delighted that we could make your night special. Our ethos is to serve fresh home cooked food and to cater for everyone to the best of our ability! With this in mind we are so happy that we could still accommodate you for our food festival event. The whole team really enjoyed the evening and serving such great guests! We had as much fun as the guests did.We hope your journey home was enjoyable and we look forwards to seeing you again in the future.Best wishesDanny and team

Amazing! Gourmet fish & chips not regular take away fish & chips. The Ling Goujons and Seafood Medley were delicious, served with crispy chips, mushy peas and the yummiest, tastiest Tartare Sauce! Plenty of options for non-fish eaters and vegetarians too. Well worth a visit to Dungarvan. If the weather is fine then sit on the quay walland have a picnic while watching the world go by.
