Charming small harbour town, relaxed local clientele, help-yourself buffet heaving with fresh (and locally) caught seafood, plus some great local cheeses, What could go wrong?Well, the steamed plaice layered with harissa over braised cabbage and fennel may have seemed like a good idea at the time, but the baklouti and serrano chillies won by two falls and a submission and the fish may as well have not been there at all. And, if I was going to be a drittsekk (polite translation = stickler), I would add that maybe the fish soup had one pinch of salt too many. But the other hand it was so good that I had three helpings. The smoked shrimp were excellent, as was the smoked butter fish and mackerel. The atmosphere was fantastic, the beer flowed and a good time was had by all. There were outbreaks of singing. Some Danes linked arms and started a sort of subdued and sedentary Mexican wave.A little rough and ready but I would happily return, if I could be sure of getting a table. This place is becoming deservedly popular, so I recommend you book ahead.

Good location on the harbour front in Bogense. Nice buffet offering a wide variety of fish and seafood. The quality is fine, and the staff is friendly and helpful. One word of advice: get there early as the opening hours indicated on the website are not up to date! Thanks for the recommendation :) We will try to make sure everything on the website is updated, and we hope to see you again.

This was an amazing surprise and Dinner experience. Can Highly recommend. The Buffet had such a good variety of Fish Dishes. I had 19 of them but still that was not the Full selection. There were also some Limited Meat choices and Salads and Potatoes.I have seen a Danish Review commenting on the lack choice of White Wine and I can agree a little more choice would be good. We chose the most expensive which was Chablis due to only one other choice.Yes the Restaurant was very busy but my Danish cousin had Booked our Table.I am sure in the Summer months this would have great views across the Bay so if you wanted that I guess you could Book in advance and request this. I noticed that one of the âOwnersâ was going around the Tables sometimes sitting with the Guests which is a nice touch.
